Colette Lavette is a sustainable painter and sculptor, exploringhuman creation and our place on earth. That being sometimes conflicting andother times harmonious. She has travelled the world, which strongly influencesher work alongside design principles learnt at university and beyond. She seeksto create beautiful, honest depictions that add to the earth rather than takefrom it.She uses sustainable, cruelty free oils that she mixes herselffrom natural minerals such as iron oxide with walnut and linseed oils, anduse alongside earthenware clay. These are applied to surfaces made of hemp,bamboo and organic cotton canvas, all of fine art archival quality.
